Agreeing to the Rules

Before You Begin

Agreeing to the rules is required before you can access the community. If you're a brand-new member, you'll be redirected to the rules page automatically when you try to visit the Dashboard. Returning members will be redirected whenever a new version is published and your agreement is needed.

How to Agree

  1. Go to the Community Rules page. If you haven't agreed yet, you'll see a notice at the top letting you know your agreement is needed.
  2. Read through each section. The rules are organized into categories to make them easier to follow.
  3. Check the box next to each rule as you read it. Every rule needs its own checkbox before you can submit -- this ensures you've read everything, not just scrolled past it.
  4. Once all the boxes are checked, the "I Have Read and Agree to All Rules" button at the bottom of the page becomes active.
  5. Click the button. You're all set.

After agreeing, you'll be taken to your Dashboard right away.

What the Badges Mean

When you're re-agreeing to an updated version of the rules, some rules may show a badge:

  • NEW -- This rule is brand new. It didn't exist in the version you last agreed to.
  • UPDATED -- This rule has changed. You can click to see the previous version and compare.

Rules without a badge haven't changed since you last agreed, but you still need to check them to confirm you've reviewed them.

For New Members

If this is your first time agreeing, every rule will be new to you -- so you won't see any badges. Just read through and check each one. After you agree, your account will be promoted to Stowaway status right away, and you'll be able to start the account setup process.

Parent Proxy Agreement

If you're a parent and your child's account is linked to yours, you can agree on their behalf from the rules page. After completing your own agreement, scroll down to find the Proxy Agreement section. It lists any of your linked children who haven't yet agreed.

Select the children you're agreeing for and click Submit Proxy Agreement. This records their agreement with a note that it was submitted by you as their parent.

Your child can also agree independently any time by visiting the rules page from their own account.
